VIEIRA SAYS CITY OWE TEVEZ

Former Manchester City midfielder Patrick Vieira has said that the club owes its current position to Carlos Tevez. Even though Robinho was the first major signing the club's new owners immediately after taking over the club in 2008, many regard Carlos Tevez to be the main factor for City to become a major force in English football. Manchester City currently lead the Premier League table by five points over Manchester United. Now, Patrick Vieira, who played for a few seasons at the Eastlands, has said that Carlos Tevez is the one person responsible for transforming the fortunes of the club.

Patrick Viera is now working as the football development executive at Manchester City. He said that even though Carlos Tevez cannot be forgiven for the refusal to play in the match against Bayern Munich, they cannot be forgotten either. "I think it's really difficult to talk about the Carlos Tevez situation because the inquiry is going on and it's not really good to get involved. But of course, the club is where its at the moment because I think Carlos Tevez really contributed to that situation.

Last year, Carlos scored goals for the club when it's been fantastic for the football club," Vieria told World Football Daily.
Carlos Tevez was an important factor in Manchester City finishing in the Champions League position, although they have performed well without them this season.

One of the main reasons for the arrival of Sergio Aguero is the Champions League football Manchester City can offer, and they only have to thank Carlos Tevez for this. Tevez scored just over 20 goals last season, but he is expected to leave the club in January after huge problems with the club's board and manager Roberto Mancini. AC Milan is the preferred destination for the Argentine.
